Aliantha began her acting career during COVID in Hawaii in the Fall of 2020. She booked several background roles on Magnum, P.I. and joined SAG on her fourth day of work, “Because I go confidently in the direction of my dreams,” she shrugged.
Ali knew from her first day on set that she wanted to be an actor. "I felt like... I’d never been as “me” in my entire life, as I am when I’m on set. I knew it. This is what I want to do. I am an actor. This is it." She reminisced.
In early 2021, Ali booked a recurring bg role on Disney Plus’ Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. and spent four months filming season one. There, she was able to learn about acting and film production first hand. She observed and absorbed as much as she could, and developed relationships with the cast and crew. “We were filming during lockdown, working 14-hour days and surviving a pandemic together. Now, when we see each other, it’s like running into family,” Ali said.
In 2022, Aliantha returned to DKMD for season two, where she had multiple features, and her real name was integrated into the dialogue of episode 203! By wrap day on Doogie season two, Ali had worked over 100 set days on high-budget productions exclusively.
Last year started strong, and Ali enrolled in scene study class at John Rosenfeld Studios. She booked her first video game: Sega’s Like A Dragon, Infinite Wealth. Despite the actor strike, Ali was able to continue classes and hone her craft all year.
2024 began with a glorious return to set in her network co-star debut on CBS’ NCIS: Hawaii as Lt. Cmdr. Meredith Brooks in "Dead on Arrival," and her performance was included in the promo trailer. What do you think the rest of 2024 holds for Aliantha?
